Life by Chocolate

Chocolate, white, milk, dark, in all its forms forms life. Chocolate truffles, caramels, and other confections are at the core of enjoyment. This is life by chocolate because death by chocolate is the wrong attitude.

The Lexington Co-op looks nice but I would like to do all my shopping there.... i dont know who is deciding what products to bring in but they have WAY too much space devoted to the same products... way too much soup, honey, bottled water, olive oil, yogurt, potato chips cereal. They need to pick fewer duplicate products and offer more selection of different products. it's almost impossible to make a whole recipe from those shelves. There has been a lot of managers leaving the store within the last few months. Are the inmates running the asylum? Why cant they keep managers?

Well, Coops by definition are supported by their members and what that means is not supported financially, which they are but also supported with time. Perhaps you should attend coop meetings and maybe even volunteer. If you voice your needs, make yourself heard, then you can make a difference. Again, that's the definition of a cooperative, to cooperate in the running of the coop.

So, a coop is only as good as its members. Have at it. Get involved. Do special orders. As my friend Rob can tell you, it's tough being a manager of a coop.

At least you have Life by Chocolate there to help soothe your nerves. ;-)
